Headed out last night(Wednesday) despite forthcoming test on coming Friday.... oopsie! :) It was worth it...got in touch with our american friend via Skype when we got home...she lived with my friend last semester and she's just wonderful, if a little intimidated by all the people at the other end of the line!!!! The lack of video input on our end meant she could just hear a vast variety of voices, some unrecognisable, but all friendly greetings!!! The wonders of technology....
It was sad to leave her again but we had to draw the line at 4am(10pm in Nebraska)!So bed at five for me means a very sleepy Niamh!! Ah so worth it!! It's now twenty to ten and I've class at eleven so must dress after shower and do all the essentials!!
Before I leave just a random point: I bought three pairs of shoes yesterday for 29 euro! I was very proud! One was a pair of flats with random patterns that were just ten euro, another was 13 reduced to eight and reduced again to six with student discount and the thirda pair of Vans that are really cool! True they are a bit big but 45 euro shoes reduced to twenty and further again to 15 with student discount could not be left behind! Also had to buy all my toiletries cos they've all run out at the same time :( ; shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, moisturiser and cleansing wipes. Also my new obsession with nail varnish meant I bought a "conditioning" nail varnish remover, it just smells like alcohol until you put it on and then it smells of apricot oil!!! I was impressed!!!
